Question Persuade Refer (QPR) Gatekeeper Training is an evidence-based method for suicide prevention for teens and adults to use in their communities and workplaces.

This course teaches participants to:

  • Question, Persuade and Refer someone who may be suicidal
  • Get help for themselves and learn more about preventing suicide
  • Identify the common causes of suicidal behavior
  • Recognize the warning signs of suicide
  • Get help for someone in crisis

Question Persuade Refer (QPR) Gatekeeper Instructor Training certifies adults to teach the QPR Gatekeeper training, an evidence-based method for suicide prevention, to teens and adults in their communities and workplaces.

This course teaches participants to:

  • Understand the nature, range and importance of suicidal communications and their importance in preventing suicide.
  • Identify groups at greatest risk of suicide and why QPR can work for them.
  • Train others as QPR Gatekeepers, how to save lives and help prevent suicidal behaviors.
  • Effectively promote suicide prevention in their own communities.
